Trust and integrity in information – Thursday 24 May 2018

In this new media age, the flow of information is so much faster than our ability to absorb and criticise it. This poses a whole set of problems for us as individuals, and as a society, especially as important decisions with practical consequences are often made on the basis of those judgements.

In this NetIKX seminar, Hanna Chalmers of Ipsos MORI will be launching a groundbreaking global study that looks at the patterns of how our trust is changing. We will also have a speaker from the field of responsible journalism, to explain how journalists check facts.  This will give us all an opportunity to discuss and consider our own roles in preserving the integrity of our knowledge.

This meeting is sponsored by Robert Rosset – Chartered Librarian – Owner of Zenostoic – Researcher – zenostoic335[at]
